Sometimes we meet a client that pushes the boundaries even more than we do! Her kitchen was outdated and didn’t fit in with the rest of her quirky home. We were given the challenge to come up with a kitchen design with a Mexican twist, but still make the kitchen timeless and add value to the resale value of her home in the future.

The new kitchen was installed on top of the existing timber floors. We chose dark timber laminated cupboards to contrast the natural timber floor. The client wanted blue hand made tiles as bench tops. We decided to only tile the breakfast bar, and install Pure White Caesarstone at the wet areas. Beautiful pewter Moroccan pendant lights were installed, and imported copper look splash back tiles were combined with stunning pitch black SMEG appliances the client has chosen. These appliances were complemented with an amazing pewter tap, white basin and quirky handles. With careful planning and out of the box thinking, we were able to create this beautiful kitchen, and came in well under the client’s budget. We even came up with solutions to add extra storage without having to steal space from the living areas.

To increase the storage space, we shortened the length of the breakfast bar and added another pantry cupboard. After some gyp rocking, new bulkheads and a lick of paint one will never guess it’s a brand new wall. The client was very happy with the end result.
