I am messy. I admit it. After dinner it looks like I’ve cooked for a whole army. I’ve also never understood how people could display canisters in their kitchen for sugar, tea and coffee. My coffee and tea all stay in the shop’s packaging and get thrown back in the cupboard after I’ve used them. Who has time to take off and put back a fancy lid, then place it back on the shelf, neatly arranged among other ornaments as if it’s a shop display? Having gone through my own kitchen renovation lately, I was suddenly inspired and on the lookout for new canisters for my coffee, tea and sugar. I got some cute ones from Howard Storage. (I guess in the end they will be used for hair ties, pens that never work or business cards I don’t want to lose)
So I was a bit inspired how you could actually add a pop of colour or personality to your kitchen by only spending a few bucks on some canisters. So what did I buy in the end? Scroll down to the last image to see!

No surprise here. With so many good intentions of adding a pop of colour to my kitchen, I ended up buying these neutral tin canisters with a vintage vibe. How predictable of me! Mmmmm… maybe I should have bought ones without the wording on? In case I go back to using store packaging.
